Frank was born in 1937, in Queens, New York to Audrey and Nicholas Janise. He moved with his family to Van Nuys, California at the age of three. Frank graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1955 and received an Associate of Arts Degree from Los Angeles Valley Junior College in 1957. He moved to Las Vegas in the early 1960’s and joined the Las Vegas Police Department (before it was consolidated into the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department) in December of 1969. Frank served the community of Las Vegas for 35 years as a police officer and retired as a detective in January of 2005. He also served as a member of the Nevada Army National Guard for 23 years, retiring as a Sergeant Major. Frank was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles, attending Nascar and Drag races, watching sports and war history. He was well known and respected within the Police Community and will be missed by all that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Audrey Janise, and his two sisters, Barbara and Alice.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia; his three sons, Glenn, Richard (Rose), Scott (Chastity); his daughter Kristin; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021, 2:00 PM, at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.
