Federico was born December 13, 1931 in Bulacan, Philippines to Carlos R. Padilla Sr. and Anastacia G. Motos. He took pre-med in college but shifted to mechanical engineer. He worked at Elago Metallurgical as a formula controller supervisor in the chemistry control department; he then became a printing press mechanic at Carmelo and Bauermann Printing Corp. He later became a freelance mechanic, for machines that made newspapers and magazines. He would sometimes take on contracts to disassemble, transport, reassemble and ensure that the machines were in proper working order. He also worked at the Arabian Oil Company in Saudi Arabia for three years as a printing shop maintenance mechanic.
Federico is survived by his wife Corazon; his sons, Philip, Perry and wife Lynn, Dennis and wife Iza, Alfred; his daughter, Esmeralda and husband Jeffrey; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooke, Kenneth, and Belle. He had 15 siblings: Monica, Carlos, Alfredo, Roberto, Nony, Sonny, Mercy, Chit, Yoto, Lani, Bebong, Angela, Leo, Gloria, and Condrado.
Federico loved good food, dining out, and socializing, going to movies, and talking about astronomy and science. He was a handyman, maintaining/repairing anything needing attention, with ease.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 20th at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89123, followed by a memorial service at 6:99 p.m. to be officiated by Pastor Allen Tolliver.
