Faye, the second of four children born to Earl and Armetha (Even) Rea, was raised in Sioux Falls, SD and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1951. On January 16, 1954, she married Jerrould Jerome “Jerry” Green at St. Joseph’s Cathedral In Sioux Falls. Faye and Jerry were blessed with six children. In 1967, they relocated to Las Vegas, NV.
Jerry worked in security for Circus Circus Hotel and Casino for 9 years before his unexpected passing in 1976. Shortly after, Faye began a career in accounting at Gold Coast Casino. During her time at Gold Coast, Faye would meet and later marry LaMarr “Bud” Hill on May 31st, 1998. Faye and Bud would go on to celebrate 23+ years of marriage. They enjoyed traveling, casino hopping and dining, lounge and comedy shows and spending time with the large family they shared.
Faye, a devout Catholic, will be remembered as a light and a joy to all who knew her. It was impossible to miss her beauty and presence. She was the salt of the earth with a playful spirit and whether it was silly banter about her “never aging” in spite of her many celebrated birthdays, the way she took her coffee or the many family gatherings in Las Vegas, she will forever be celebrated for her exceptional character and her magnanimous life as the matriarch of her family.
She is survived by her husband, LaMarr “Bud” Hill; her children, Pamela Cameron, Laura Balducci, Jerry Green, Marcie Wellendorf, Angela McMillen and Fred Green; her grandchildren, Heather Taylor, Jennifer Shields, Monica Taylor, Ron Balducci, Janine Everard, Joann Trapani, Ronnie Taylor, Ricky Wellendorf and Wyatt McMillen; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her brother, Carlyle “Bud” Rea and sister, Kathy Conradi, both of Sioux Falls and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Jerry, and her sister, Donna Fechner of Sioux Falls.
