Evelyn May Quinn, 86, of Las Vegas, passed away on August 5, 2014. Evelyn was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on May 10, 1928 to Lloyd and Dorothy Swartz. She moved to Las Vegas in 1954 and married her beloved husband Charles Quinn that same year. They relocated to Tucson, Arizona after getting married and lived there for about six years before returning to Las Vegas in 1960. Evelyn and Charles were married for 53 years until Charles’ death in 2008. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Quinn; and sister, Laura (Robert) Kost. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Quinn; sisters, Beverly (Clair) Cohick and Gloria (Virg) Beal; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a homemaker when her daughter was young but also worked as a secretary and bookkeeper in her career. She attended church at Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church and was a woman with a strong faith. Evelyn was a kind person that always saw the good in everyone and will be deeply missed by her family. Private graveside services for family and close friends will be at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 N Jones Blvd, on August 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
