He was born September 6, 1924 in Pipian, Cuba, to Longino Torres and Margarita Vega. On July 3, 1954, he married Argelia Hernandez. Neno was initiated as a Freemason in Cuba in the 1950s. He emigrated with his family from Cuba to Las Vegas in 1970. He worked at Caesar's Palace, until he formed his own janitorial company in Las Vegas. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and sister Fela. He is survived by his son, Gilbert (Chris) Torres of Lima, Ohio; Daughter, Gladys Torres of North Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 Grandchildren: Jaclyn (Tim) Spivey of Austin, TX; Christina (Brandon) Telese of Las Vegas, NV; Stephen and Luis Torres, both of Lima, OH; 2 Great Grandchildren: Naomi and TJ Spivey; and siblings Ramon, Lidia, and Ofelia, all of Cuba.
Visitation will take place Monday, December 12th at 2:00pm. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 13th at 10:00am followed by graveside service. All services will take place at Palm Mortuary & Memorial Park, 1325 N. Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada 89101.
