Dwight "Skip" William Harouff, 84, entered eternal rest with his Lord on January 11, 2024, after an enduring battle with heart failure. Born January 2, 1940, in Akron, Ohio, Skip served as an electronic radio mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. He married Mary Ann Angell on May 29, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio. Skip relocated his family to Las Vegas, Nevada, to continue his service to the Xerox Corporation. He was a significant figure in the Las Vegas community. His entrepreneurial spirit was best exemplified through his leadership at "Skipco," a business that became a local hallmark. Skip was a founding member of the Las Vegas Chapter of Legatus and attended mass at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Skip was an avid collector of classic cars, knives, guns, and poker chips.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his sister, Alma Margo "Babe" Nassar; his son, Gary; his wife, Rosa; his son, Kenneth; and his wife, Cami Jo. Skip was cherished by his eleven grandchildren: Alexis, Colton, Bronson, Albert, Gabriel, Greg, Samantha, Simeon, Evelynrose, Hadassah, and Bernadette.
A visitation for Skip is scheduled for Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Northwest Mortuary, located at 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the Palm Northwest Cemetery. Reception for family and friends will be at the Palm Northwest Mortuary from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
No public services are scheduled at this time; however, updates regarding future services will be sent later. Skip's passing brings deep sorrow to his family and the community, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
