Dorothy Jean Roberts

Dot moved to Los Angeles, California in 1944 where she graduated from Jefferson High School and she achieved her Associates Degree from Los Angeles City College.

Dot worked 34 years for Los Angeles County as a supervisor of the Department of Social Services. She retired in 1988 and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dot met and married Bennie Roberts Jr. in 1947. From this union, two children were born Charles Roberts and Deborah Roberts (preceded her in death). She leaves to cherish her memory her son Charles and his wife Brenda Evans-Roberts, grandson Mark, great-granddaughter Shana Wheeter and one remaining sister, Jeannie (Dale) Hembrick of Los Angeles and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation for Dorothy Jean will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A committal service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
