Dora Louise Meng

Dora was born in Columbus, Ohio to Mary and Frank Mack on February 23, 1928. Dora grew up in El Segundo, California and graduated from El Segundo High School in June 1945. She was a long-time member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Dora was married to Donald Meng Sr. on November 22, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She retired from REECO in 1993. Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Meng Sr. (husband), Michael Meng Sr. (son), Nancy Terry (daughter), George Mack (brother), and Richard Mack (brother). She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Linda Carpenter, son, Donald Meng Jr. (Karla), son, Ronald Meng Sr. (Pam), son, John Meng (Connie), daughter Carol Greathouse (Gary), son-in-law, John Terry, 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren, sister, Peggy Rubel of California, sister-in-law, Mary Lee Mack of California, and anyone who had the pleasure of her company. There will be a private family graveside service. Dora will be buried next to her husband Donald at Palm Mortuary, Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
