She was funny and kindhearted. She made every gathering warmer. She spoke to strangers and flirted with everyone. She was game for just about any adventure, and over the course of her life, she had many -- and could tell a story like one else. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Dianne was born October 5, 1945, in Pell City Alabama, the second of two daughters. Her parents worked at the Avondale Cotton Mill. She married another cotton mill kid, Jack Eddins Willis, in 1962. They moved to Anaheim, California, before returning to Huntsville, Alabama, having two daughters, and following his career to Fairfax, Virginia, and Tucson, Arizona.
Over the years, Dianne worked at banks, resorts, and telephone companies; traveled to England, Greece, Spain, and Israel; rode a camel up to the Great Pyramids in Egypt, walked trails in the Grand Canyon, swam in Acapulco, and cut loose at the occasional honky-tonk.
Dianne later worked for many years at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, and retired in Scottsdale, Arizona. She moved to Las Vegas to be near family in 2018.
She is predeceased by her sister Brenda Jane Collins and the love of her life, Jack. She is survived by her daughters Kelly Wiehe (Richard Wiehe), Stacy J. Willis (Rebecca Lopez), grandson Christopher Stern, nieces Deauna Collins and Stephanie Garrett (James Garrett), and numerous other relatives and friends.
