Dianna Marie Hegeduis born in 1953, in Dallas. Dianna was a resident of Las Vegas for 35 years. Dianna graduated from UNLV in 1992. She received her law degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU in 1995 with a letter of recommendation from Sen. Harry Reid.. Professionally, she was the executive director and general counsel for the Nevada Osteopathic Board and former chief deputy attorney general for the State of Nevada. During her tenure with the attorney general, she successfully argued several cases which established current law and are cited by the Nevada Supreme Court. Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Martha Oppermann. Survivors include her loving husband, Jack, affectionately known to her as "My Honey Bunny"; his sons, Jack Jr. (Heather), and Joseph (Christina), both of Las Vegas; precious grandchildren, Ryan, Ava and Brayden, whom Dianna adored and called the "Light Of Her LIfe"; three brothers, Curtis (Aleta), Harvey (Lucy) and Gary, residing in Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "Aunt Dianna". Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, both at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services to follow at 1:20 p.m., at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dianna Hegeduis Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank, or to the Heaven Can Wait Pet Shelter, 546 N. Easter Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89101.
