David Hall was born Sept. 13, 1939 in Ferriday, La., as one of five children to William and Lettie Hall. He went home to be with the Lord May 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; wife, Gertrude; and brothers, Richard and Lewis Hall. David worked at the Nevada Test Site, Jean Hannah Rehabilitation Center and the Frontier Hotel. After many years of faithful service, he retired. David accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord in Savior at an early age. He leaves to cherish his memory eight children, Romeather Warren, George McDowell (Patricia) Zanira Al-Amin, aka Ollie, John McDowell, Linda Jackson (John), Drewsella Smith (Rick), Harold McDowell (Terra) and Diedre Butler; his brothers, William Hall (Viola), Houston Hall (Beverly); special sister-in-law, Emmer Hall; sister-in-law, Julia Hall; and a special friend, Margarie Anderson. He leaves 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, May 13. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
