Daniel Lopez Reyna was born December 4th, 1940 in Ajo, Arizona. His parents were Antonio and Adela Reyna. He was the youngest of 8 children. Siblings were Odelia Melendrez, Stella Milan, Leo Reyna, Mary Bustamante, Belen Uribe, Raul Reyna, and Adela Browder. Daniel joined the United States Air Force in 1958 and served four years while receiving an honorable discharge. He moved to Los Angeles where he met the love of his life Clara. They were married in 1969 and raised 5 children that he loved with all his heart... Linda, Richard, Sal, Stephanie and David. This family grew to 22 amazing grand and great grandchildren... Lorina, Michael, Aurielle, Taylor, Cezar, Rocco, Tyler, Jacob, Adrianna, David, Irene, Sarah, Raylene, Natalie, Anthony, Kaylee, Aubree, Csesalie, Laine, Brynlee, Bridger, Riley. Daniel worked in Los Angeles as a butcher for 16 years and then moved to Tonopah Nevada in August 1981 to work in mining. Then moving to Elko Nevada in 1992 to work for Barrick Goldstrike where he retired 14 years later. In 2006, Daniel and Clara retired to Mesquite Nevada, then a short stay in Tucson, Arizona and finally back to Las Vegas in 2010 until he passed. Daniel was an avid sports fan, especially basketball. As a young man, he lettered in basketball and won numerous bowling trophies. He played a mean game of pool and loved to play for money. His greatest championship was winning a father/son national bowling tournament with David. Daniel loved spending time in the bowling alley. Daniel's greatest time was always spent with his wife and family, whether it be camping in Lake Tahoe, dancing with Clara, or barbecuing in the backyard. Family was the greatest asset, achievement and joy of his life! "To thine own self be true" and "Wherever you go, there you are" are the two quotes that Daniel truly followed.
