Daniel Charles Barnett was born on August 18, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan to Margaret Vian and Earl Barnett and had two younger sisters - Theresa and Diana Catherine. In his early twenties, Daniel served our country and is a veteran of the United States Navy. On February 7, 1967, Daniel met his wife and best friend Carol Sarigiani while attending class at Highland Park Community College, and they were married on July 20, 1968. Together, they had four children – Ronald, Judith, Daniel Patrick, and Christine. Daniel worked as a tool and die maker at Ford Motor Company for thirty-two years, retired, and moved to Henderson, Nevada with his wife Carol in January of 2000. Daniel was a devoted Catholic, honest, caring, and hard-working man that dedicated his life to taking care of his family. He was a sociable man, loved listening to music (Guy Lombardo was his favorite), enjoyed spending time with his friends and watching the Detroit Tigers and Notre Dame football games, was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and always looked forward to spending time with his five grandchildren. He was a charitable man that often donated to the Disabled American Veterans and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Even until his last days, Daniel was always concerned about his family and their well-being. On the evening of January 27, 2017, Daniel passed away at home with his family by his side.
