He was born October 26, 1978 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Conrad Wright and Donna Miller. Conrad found the love of his life at the age of 15 and married her, Dawn Maw, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 27, 2002.
After high school, Conrad worked at different jobs, graduated from DPT Business School, and got a degree in Computerized Business and Accounting in 2000. Then he worked at Inolex Chemical Company as a Sample Coordinator for 12 years. While he worked, he did attend community college for a while. Later on, he went to Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) and graduated as an Aviation Maintenance Technician in Airframe and Power Plant in 2017. That same year he also went to Baker's School of Aeronautics and completed a course for Aviation Mechanic in Airframe and Power Plant. After graduating, he got a job working at Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon Airlines, and finally a job with Spirit Airlines as a Technician (aircraft mechanic). He loved engine work but loved working on airplanes in general.
Conrad's hobbies were collecting movie memorabilia and toys…comics, especially DC ones, old books like Peter Pan and Charles Dickens, and whiskey. He loved to cook theme nights with his wife, especially French or Italian meals. They would cook together, listen to French or Italian music, and dance in the kitchen while cooking. When Conrad was not working, he spent all his time with me and our kids. He loved going to the movies, walking the strip, working out, late night drives to Red Rock and Lake Mead area, bowling, hiking and exploring places he never been, and goofing around on social media…he had some meme, sports, and movies groups he ran.
Conrad loved movies of all genres, especially old black and white movies. Some of his favorite movies were Beauty and the Beast, Lord of the Rings, King Kong, Maltese Falcon, The Thing, The Shining, DC movies, and the classics like Frankenstein and Dracula. His favorite TV shows were Frasier, Cheers, Married with Children, Vikings, Game of Thrones, Friends, and Lost. He loved music from Classical, Jazz, Rock, to Alternative. Conrad loved sports especially football. He loved Boston teams. The New England Patriots was his favorite team since he was a little kid. He also loved Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and the Bruins. He played all sports when he was younger and coached our eldest son's hockey team, and coached our other son's and second eldest daughter’s soccer team.
His family gave him joy…his wife, his six kids, dog Bentley and his friends. Conrad loved the little things like holding hands, kisses, selfies with everyone, sunsets, lightning storms, the ocean, dancing with his wife or the kids in random places, spending man time with his boys and doing mini trips with his girls shopping or exploring places.
Conrad was a charismatic man full of heart but very sarcastic and blunt. He would tell it like he saw it and wouldn't hold back. He was very smart, opinionated, and could give great advice. Conrad had a presence about him that everyone gravitated to. He always tried to help and support friends and family. He pushed everyone to try harder. He lived by this quote from the Frasier Crane TV show: "Do something. If it's a mistake, do something else."
Conrad would want to be remembered as a strong, intelligent, hardworking man who accomplished everything he set out to do. He loved his wife and their six kids with all his heart and did everything for them to a have good life. He wanted his kids to have a better life than his parents gave him. He was loved by everyone most of all his family, friends, and co-workers. Conrad will always be in our hearts and memories.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his two sons Mercer and Thayer; and his four daughters Taydem, Ireland, Atlantis, and Salem, all of whom live in Las Vegas, Nevada and who will always love and honor him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, September 15, 2021 at Palm Eastern Mortuary.
