Carol Jean Brown

Carol Jean Brown, 87, of Las Vegas passed away December 9, 2018. Mom was born August 5, 1931 in Pocatello, ID to Ferdinand and Virginia Reese. She married Philip Floor in 1950 and had two children. Carol was a supervisor at Centel Phone Co. for 30 years and her education was ongoing throughout her career. She loved her job! Mom enjoyed bowling, bridge, painting, crocheting, music, dancing and picnics in the mountains. She belonged to ITPA and helped Shade Tree, St. Vincent's, Seniors in Need and Salvation Army. Carol loved her country and made people laugh with her quick wit. She is survived by her daughter (Ginny Young and husband Jim), two brothers (Bill Reese, Ed Reese) and baby sister (Kay Hopkins). Carol has 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. They love and adore their Meme! She is predeceased by her husband (Phil), son (Louis Floor), two sisters (Theda Lish, Margie Radford) and baby brother (Gary). Mom left behind a beautiful legacy of giving selflessly to others in need with no judgment. Services will held Sat., 12/22, 11:00am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 8755 Iron Mtn. Rd., 89143 followed by burial at Palm Northwest Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., 89131. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Las Vegas Veteran's Hospital.
