Betty Elizabeth Kennedy, 93, of Las Vegas, was reunited with her beloved husband, Friday morning, May 27, 2017. Born April 16, 1924, in Las Vegas to William and Sarah Hall, Betty was a 1942 graduate of Las Vegas High School and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints. She married the love of her life, Fred John Kennedy, April 16, 1942. Betty loved traveling with Fred all over the world and enjoyed playing tennis until her body wouldn’t allow her to play anymore. She had a genuine love for story telling and memories. Betty loved looking at pictures and remembering the wonderful gifts life had brought her as well as the amazing people that entered her life. Her most prized possessions by far were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Betty was most proud of the four generations that followed her. She celebrated all of their achievements and accomplishments as if they were her own.
Betty is survived by her sister Ruth (Jack) Lillis; two sons, Fred (Pam) Kennedy and Steve Kennedy; daughters, Renee (Jim) Lindsay and Judy Dietrich; grandchildren, Leslie, Ben, Jimmy, Heather, Amy, Bryan, Hilary, Ashton, Kyle, Steven, Steve and Kristina; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be at 9 a.m. and memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
