Annette Johnson was born June 14, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Gladys Lea Johnson and James T. Johnson Sr. In 1974, the family moved to San Bernardino, CA where she resided until her death on August 14, 2023. Annette was their only daughter, she had three brothers, Wayne and Kenneth Lea and James T. Johnson Jr.
Nette as she was affectionately known, had great love for her family. On many occasions the family would travel back to Las Vegas, or even New Jersey where she would get to spend time with many of her cousins and other family members, doing fun things, going shopping, to the movies, playing board games and making great memories.
Annette attended Pacific High School, where she began to blossom, ultimately, she graduated from San Gorgonio High School in 1986. Annette attended San Bernardino Valley College where she majored in early childcare development.
After graduation, Annette worked various jobs until she found her calling in the childcare industry. This career would bring her the greatest joy, fulfilling her dream of working with children. Annette had an endless amount of pride, and it showed in her love when working with the "little humans” as she fondly called them, she took on multiple roles in the childcare industry. She taught in the classrooms, cooked meals, drove the bus, worked in the office and even helped on weekends and evenings to provide childcare in her home, for families in need. Annette helped raise, support, educate and motivate children for more than 25 years of her life.
August 20, 1992, Annette was blessed with her very own bundle of joy, a daughter, she named Daedra Trenise Johnson. Daedra was her source of strength; she lived and loved her daughter beyond words and would do anything to protect her Babygirl. As Daedra grew older, they would have challenges, plenty of tears, happiness, even sadness and moments of anger, their mother and daughter relationship only grew stronger as did their love for each other, their relationship to bloomed into a beautiful and one of the BEST friendships, a mother and daughter could have.
In 1998, Annette lost her mother, a woman she loved, admired and adored, it was a trying time, through it all she held on to her faith and never wavered, continuing to trust in God’s word and his promises for her life. Annette continued to attend church on Sundays and remain faithful to God.
Nette was a very fun-loving, friendly, kind and a giving person, she was also stubborn and strong-willed.
Annette leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter Daedra, her father, James Sr., her brothers Kenneth Lea and James Jr., her niece Kennetta and hosts of Aunts and Uncles, cousins, extended family and many lifelong friends. Her mother Gladys, brother Wayne and Grandparents preceded her in death.
Annette has gained her wings; she will forever be soaring in our hearts and watching over us. Rest in Heaven our Guardian Angel.
