Amy Parmalee Quinn

It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Amy Parmalee Quinn; beloved wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, caretaker, and friend whom was called home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2024, at the young age of 49, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer.

Amy was born on December 22, 1974, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to a family rooted in love and faith. Her life was a testament to her resilient spirit, adventurous heart, and boundless love for those she held dear. Growing up as an Air Force child, she spent her early years in Louisiana and Germany, before finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she built a life full of joy, family, and success.

Amy was the cherished wife of Peter Quinn (A lifelong dedicated public servant and current Las Vegas Police Sergeant) and the proud and loving mother of three wonderful sons: Cody, Dylan, and Christopher. Amy’s devotion to her boys was unparalleled. She made it her mission to guide them through life, nurturing them, ensuring their success in school, and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.

Amy grew up with her sister, Judy, whom, without hesitation, lovingly took on the full-time role of assisting Peter with caretaking for Amy during her lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, which was a true testament to the closeness of their bond as sisters. Amy was also the proud Aunt of Judy‘s two children, Marissa and Cristian, who brought Amy endless Joy.

In addition to her husband, children, sister, niece and nephew, Amy is survived by her father James Bailey (along with her stepmother Norma), her mother Josie Terry Hardy (along with her stepfather Tom), and her stepbrother Kevin Rial (along with his wife Renee), along with numerous loving members of her extended family.

From a young age Amy was musically gifted and had a passion for dancing, with salsa being her favorite. Her childhood was filled with laughter and rhythm, providing memories she carried throughout her life.

Although what Amy adored the most was being a wife, mother, and creating an amazing home for her family, she also found time to become a successful business woman in her own right, starting and growing multiple ventures, in assistance to others. Her determination and talent were evident in everything she pursued and she served as an inspiration to many with her entrepreneurial spirit.

Amy absolutely loved the holidays. Her home was always decorated and filled with warmth, lights, laughter, and love during those special times. Her joy for celebrating and bringing people together was one of the many ways she shared her love with those around her.

While fighting the cancer with grace and a tremendous amount of strength, Amy’s faith never wavered. She found peace in knowing that God‘s love would carry her home. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and love she brought into their lives. Amy will be incredibly and deeply missed, but her legacy of love, strength, and determination will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A service to celebrate Amy’s life will be held on October 24, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at Palm Northwest Mortuary, located at 6701 North Jones Boulevard, where we will come together to honor her memory and rejoice in the promise of eternal life. A viewing of Amy will commence just prior to the service, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, etc., the family requests donations be made to Behind the Blue, in Amy’s name.

Rest in peace Amy Parmalee Quinn, our beautiful angel sent from God. You will always be remembered and your light will never fade.
