Alan Mehr, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022. Alan was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and moved to Las Vegas in 1978 where he began his career in gaming. He was a dealer at multiple hotel/casinos and retired as a Floor Supervisor from the Bellagio in 2014. He also enjoyed being an instructor at the International Dealers School for approximately 8 years in between his career in the casinos. Alan enjoyed playing golf, going to a local casino to play bingo and keno machines, watching westerns, and listening to music – especially his “oldies”. Some of his favorite times were just being at home with his wife (the love of his life) and their four-legged companion, their cat, Zorro.
Alan is survived by his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Mehr; brother, Howard (Audrey) Mehr of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law, Barbara Kahn and Terry Feiner, and brother-in-law, Alan Feiner, all of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 28, 2022, at King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Interment immediately following at Palm Eastern Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Following interment, friends are invited to join the family at a reception at King David Memorial Chapel.
