Robert John Leidecker Jr., 82, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on October 5, 2024. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL and lived most of his life in Franklin Park, IL until moving to Florida with his wife Beth in retirement. He attended St. Patrick’s High School and served in the US Army overseas as a medic. He was also a member of The Moose – River Park Lodge 2578 for over 50 years and proudly worked as a Messenger/Security Officer at Brinks. He was also a dog lover and an avid sports fan following his Chicago and Tampa teams daily - either on TV or on his transistor radio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Leidecker (nee Jurate) and will now happily be with her as he always wanted to be. He is survived by his two daughters, Dianne Stetina (Joe) and Kathryn Frazier (Glenn), his only sister, Susan Lyman (Edward), his grandchildren, Brandon and Paul Stetina and many nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will host a memorial service / celebration of his life, Saturday, November 9th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with reflections starting at 12PM, Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL.
