Mary Lucy White

Mary Lucy White, nee Pesaresi, 72, was called home on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Largo, Florida. She was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, on October 27, 1951, to the late Valentino "Tino" Vincent Pesaresi and Lena Lillian Cavallaro. The family moved to Largo, Florida, in 1959. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of sixteen years, John Andrew White; and her brother, Richard Francis Pesaresi.

Mary had various interests and hobbies including bowling, billiards, going for long walks and watching 90’s sitcoms. She enjoyed yardwork, crafting, and DIY projects. She loved thrifting, anywhere and everywhere, especially for purses!

She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Mary enjoyed traveling to visit family in Crawfordville, Florida, but would make sure to be back home for Sunday dinners with family in Largo.

She attended Largo Alliance Church with her siblings in their youth and, more recently, Pathways with her beloved sister-in-law, Kathy. Mary was a strong, independent woman; warm, compassionate, and welcoming.

Mary was deeply devoted to her family and treasured her friendships dearly. She was affectionately known as Grandma to her grandchildren, and she made sure they were lovingly spoiled!

Mary is survived by her children: Angela Odom (Steve), Brian Lewis, Ashley White; grandchildren Mason, Ember, and Jayden; sister, Patti Elsner (Henry); brother, Paul Pesaresi; niece, Stephanie Saladino (Matt). Mary is also survived by her former husband, James Lewis, the father of Angela and Brian.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo, FL 33774. Graveside services at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park immediately follow the memorial service.
