John Charles Spears

SPEARS, John Charles, 88 of Seminole passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System, Bay Pines, FL. John was born April 3, 1928 in Cambridge, MA to the late Charles Thomas & Alice Jane (Nelson) Spears. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving during WWII. John moved to this area in 1986 coming from Cambridge, MA where he retired from his Plumbing and Heating business. He was a member of the D.A.V., V.F.W and the American Legion. John was predeceased by his loving wife Ellen Arline (Rupert) Spears, a son Andrew Allan Spears and two brothers Edward Leroy Spears and Walter George Gansenberg. Surviving are four sons Robert John, David Bryant, Charles Thomas and Donald Martin and a daughter Ellen Anna (Spears) McAdams along with nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2016 from 9am to 11am with Funeral Services at 11am all at the Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL, phone # 727-562-2080.
