John K Short, 75, of Seminole, FL passed away June 11, 2016 in Largo Medical Center. He was born in Elgin, NE on September 7, 1940 to parents John R Short and Naomi L (McIntyre) Short. He moved to Florida in 1988 coming from Omaha, NE and was employed for 15 years by The Home Depot in Seminole. Prior to Home Depot he worked for Scotty's Builders Supply. He was known as a caring husband, father and grandfather. He loved watching western movies and television shows, and was a fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Estella A (Strate) Short, daughters Shelley Shutt, and Kathy Stephenson, sisters Audrey Ryan and Janet Lush, and four grandchildren.
