George was a wonderful person. He always took a moment to ask how things were going, with a smile.  He was a kind caring neighbor.  He will be greatly missed. 

George was always smiling. He would stop and chat on his way to work when I would be out walking my hound. I'll remember his kind words and genuineness. 

So sorry to hear of George's passing. Our paths first crossed as colleagues at Guy Carpenter in the 1980's both working together and as friends and players on the company softball team. We shared many good times and laughs together after games having beers in Central Park. His zest for life and positive attitude was infectious to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. After his leaving New York, our paths didn't cross again until many years later after his relocation to the Tampa area while I had also moved on to Florida and was in the local insurance market meeting in his office and various industry functions.

When we did meet again it was as if time had stood still as we reminisced about the good old days. You were a true gentleman with a great personality and sense of humor. 

Rest in Peace George.

Dear Carrie,
I am so sorry to have heard about George and wanted to express my sincere condolences. I was a colleague of Georges when he started in the International Department of Guy Carpenter. We worked long hours together as well as enjoyed many a beer often talking about our families and futures before either of us had settled down. After looking at the pictures on the site I can tell you unequivocally, George surpassed any imagined dream of his future. I say this as family was at his core always and he has such a large and beautiful core. Unfortunately, our paths never really crossed after I left reinsurance and he went south but I have always remembered him and was a true admirer. 
Again, I am sorry you have to go through this and wanted you to know that you all are in my thoughts.

I met George late during my career at Guy Carpenter even though I started in 1985 our paths didn’t cross until many years later. I am glad I got to know him well. He always made a point to stop by and say hello when he was in New York.

He was funny, witty & charming. Always had a smile on his face.

Another Tottenville Townie taken too soon. You have great company waiting for you at the side of Jesus. You are now free to fly with the Angels and float in the clouds. I know your family here on the rock will be expecting you to be another guardian angel for them; do so.  Between shifts, enjoy the company in Heaven and Rest peacefully and pain-free. Christ be with your loved ones who will miss you.

We were incredibly privileged to have met George, and although we only got to know him  a few years ago , he became the best most loyal friend anyone could wish to have .
His love for life and his family was infectious as was his generosity .
We were overjoyed when our families became bound by the marriage of his lovely daughter Danielle to our son Stefan. 
The wonderful sunset cruises we had ,in his immaculately conditioned and loved boat , were a highlight  not to be missed .
Always the perfect host and always fun to be with 
He was the epitome of the phrase " JOIE DE VIVRE'
We love you George and will dearly miss you !

I can't believe it, 1 month. 
George Carse was my friend back in the hazy days of our youth. He was always the one to get everyone goin. He really loved to laugh, at himself or one or all of his insane friends, when the hysterical shenanigans ensued when we were all together. 
Megs, I know what he meant to you, I am truly so sorry for you and the entire Carse Clan. An incredible loss to us all.

I just want to say to the entire Carse family how sad I am to hear of George s passing . I send my deepest sympathies and condolences to you all! But as we all know to feel and see the pain and torment that cancer puts on us and our loved ones , we know that God is resolute in ending their suffering and wanting us to remember them for the life they lived and the love and joy  they brought forth . Our families have been intertwined in this life since 1979 and I can t think of any 2 families who ve endured more pain! But also have shone the strength and conviction to live their lives in honor of those who went before us ! God bless you George , and God Bless you all.

Great memories of George with the A Dock Yacht Club. I only knew him for a few years when we were boaters in Clearwater. George always had an easy, big smile and made all feel welcome and special. He sure loved his pup, Grace.

We have been thinking and praying for you Carrie and your family.  So many nice memories of George and love hearing the fun stories that Sue and Jamie tell us that you guys have done in the past years.
