Gary Miller, a beloved member of the Pinellas Park community, passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 72. Born on September 25, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gary was the son of Shirley Miller and Richard Miller.
Gary pursued his passion for horticulture and obtained a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University. On October 10, 1978, he married the love of his life, Mary Beth Miller, and they shared a beautiful journey together until her passing. They were blessed with a daughter, Gabrielle Bowery, who remained a source of pride and joy in Gary's life.
As a dedicated entrepreneur, Gary was the proud owner of a flower shop and also co-owned a car shop with his brother. He found fulfillment in both ventures, nurturing the growth of flowers while working alongside his brother in the automotive industry. Gary's commitment and dedication were evident in the success of his businesses.
Gary had a deep love for his community and cherished the sunny state of Florida, which became his second home. He was an avid supporter of Pittsburgh sports and embraced his favorite teams with unwavering loyalty. Gary also had a green thumb and found solace among his plants, cultivating beautiful gardens that brought him immense happiness.
Gary leaves behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew him. He is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle Bowery; his brother, Karl Miller; his grandchild Zachary Bowery; and Gary's mother, Shirley Miller. While Gary's passing is deeply mourned, his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services are scheduled for June 23, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Home, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774. A visitation will begin at 10am with Gary's funeral service following at 12pm. Gary will then be laid to rest at 1pm in Serenity Gardens Memorial Park.
