Don, also known as Donald Ross Yoder, was a beloved Husband, Dad, Grandpop, and Friend to many. He was a long standing member of the Sea Isle City, NJ Free Mason's Lodge holding the rank of Master Mason, Moose, and Navy Reservist, having served for eight years. Don believed in hard work, integrity, friendship, respect, and service, but above all else, he loved and supported his family.
Don attended Abington Senior High School. After his military service, Don pursued a career in sales and then transitioned to construction. Through hard work and dedication, he became an aluminum contractor and was the Owner/Operator of Don Yoder Aluminum for over 30 years. Don was also a founding member of the Aluminum Association of Pinellas.
In his free time, Don enjoyed traveling, including cruises and trips up the East Coast. He had a keen interest in politics and remained an active member of his high school alumni.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Claire (Augustine) Yoder, his brother Douglas Yoder, his children John Gretzula, Mark and Sandra (Yoder) Hulen, Steven and Susan (Yoder) Flanagan, his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William and John Yoder, and his daughter Peggy (Gretzula) Price.
A viewing will take place Thursday, December 21st, 2023 from 12pm-1pm at Serenity Gardens/Anona Cemetery, followed by a graveside service. Contributions in Don's memory can be made to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Serenity Gardens, located in Largo, FL.
Don Yoder will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
