A first-generation Italian American, she moved to St. Petersburg from her hometown of Plainfield, NJ and fell in love with the area. She was a retail worker her entire life, and spent her spare time as an avid amateur chef and gourmand; she created hundreds of unique recipes, combining her Italian roots with local Gulf Coast culinary heritage, that have become family tradition and lore.
Connie is survived by her husband, Joseph Ricco; her daughters Michelle Ann O'Quinn and Stacia Maria Hamilton (née Ricco); granddaughters Mirabel Ann Hudson and Natasha Dominique Wagner, and grandson Edward John Stevens; and numerous loving cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as countless friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on September 11th, her birthday, at Serenity Funeral Home in Largo. In celebration of her life and in accordance with her wishes, we will be sending her off in the same manner as she lived: loudly, with opinion, and laughing often.
Interment will follow outdoors in the nearby Gardens.
