PINK, Benjamin Walter 85, of Seminole, passed away on Memorial Day, 2010, in Morton Plant Hospital following a courageous battle with chronic illness. Ben was born in Superior, WI. Served in the U.S. Army Airforce (1943-1945), 18th Airforce England and 15th Airforce Italy as a Waist Gunner on the B24's. He graduated with a BS degree in Education, but having a big heart, he found his niche as a county social worker. After his public service, he continued to be a servant to others and volunteered his services to those in need. After retiring in 1987, he moved to Seminole and took up selling Real Estate. Ben was raised in the Episcopal Church, and remained an active lifetime member in both Superior, WI and Indian Rocks Beach. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Pink of Seminole; a son, Barry (Lynda) Pink of Solon Springs, WI; a daughter, Beth (Mark) Olson of South Range, WI; five grandsons, Chad Pink of Seminole, Scott Pink of NV, Tom Pink of MN, Knute Olson of MT and Karl Olson of WI; two nephews Jim (Dee) Pink, NV, Robert (Linda) Pink, Largo; one niece Holly (John) Campbell, OR. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at 11 am at Calvary Episcopal Church, 1615 First Street, Indian Rocks Beach, FL 33785.
