Age 74, of Oldsmar, FL, passed away on July 22, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from St. Paul Cathedral, and pursued a life-long career at Bell Telephone, retiring as Manager at Verizon. She was a proud member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church and their RCIA program.
Barb was always an achiever, becoming the first female licensed Stationary Engineer in the City of Pittsburgh, PA. She furthered her education by studying Business at Carlow University, receiving her BA, then continuing at Shenandoah University, receiving her MBA. She was full of joy and laughter and loved music.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Seymour, and parents Edward and Elizabeth Stawowy.
She is survived by her sister, Susan (John) Chronister, nephews Ian Chronister and Eric (Gena) Chronister, stepchildren Lori (Orlando) Rangel, Thomas Seymour, Kristina O’Brien and Tammy (Andy) Lee; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will take place at 10:30 at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor, FL. Interment to follow at Serenity Gardens Memorial Park, 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
