Thelma Nadine Dunckle, age 79 passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Thelma was born September 16, 1937 in East Prairie, Missouri to the late Luther and Katie Gordon. She was the youngest of 6 children and is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.
Thelma married Harold Dunckle Sr. on June 18, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan. They raised three children in the Lansing area. She spent her working career as an elementary school secretary for the Lansing School District retiring in 1985. Harold and Thelma traveled extensively in their 33 years of retirement together. Thelma loved arts and crafts. She especially loved painting and family members cherished the artwork she gifted to them over the years. She loved playing cards and was always ready to have fun with friends.
Thelma leaves her husband of 62 years, Harold Sr.; her children, Harold (Pam) Dunckle Jr. of Lansing, MI, Vanessa (Dan)
Blaxton of Okemos MI, and Rhonda Dunckle of Nashua, New Hampshire. She was also a loving grandma to her four grandchildren; Nicholas (Emily) Dunckle, Graham (Melissa) Blaxton, Christopher Dunckle and Chelsie Blaxton. She took special pride and delight in her two great grandchildren; Gavin and Elise.
There will be visitation for Thelma from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 and Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E. Michigan Ave. Lansing, Michigan.
