Russell T. Jenkins, 83, of Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born July 1, 1937 in Lansing to TM and Gladys (Knickerson) Jenkins, Russell served honorably in the US Air Force before returning stateside, to long career as a Quality Control Manager with Spartan International.
His sister Chere, called him a big teddy bear that gave the best hugs to his baby sister. The loves of his life were his wife, daughter, grandson and granddaughter, and great granddaughter, but his first love was his wife of 62 years Jackie. Jackie thanks Chere for crying, so he would ask Jackie for a date - they would not be together if not for Chere. They had a wonderful life full of joy.
Russell was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting. He loved playing cribbage, euchre and board games with family and friends. He loved having cookouts, where he was the master grill man.
He was a man of few words, but you always knew that he loved you with all his heart. He would listen, and give you good advice. He will be missed by many.
Russell was preceded in death by his father T.M. Jenkins; and mother Gladys Jenkins; and brother, Richard Jenkins.
His memory will be cherished by his wife, Jacqueline (Rawls) Jenkins; his children, Tammy (Jim) Allmon; grandchildren Jason, (Emma) and Katie (Joe) Millonzi; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; sister Chere (Patrick) Buron; brother-in-law William “Nick” Nichols; and nieces and nephews, Terersa (Jim) Sigman, Richard (Mary) Jenkins, Shelly Desire, Corine, and their children, Carrie Jenkins, Cassandra, Brittaney, Brian, Joshua and their children,
