Roger is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jennie Twitchell; three stepdaughters, Shawn (Shaun) Thronson, Susan (Kristopher) Hammond, and Michelle (Paul) Rashid; eight grandchildren, Shaun Jr., Lauren, Mackenzie, Natasha (Dakota), David, Joshua (Denise), Allysia, and Silvio; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, R.D. and Helen Twitchell.
Roger graduated from GMI in Flint in 1968 and was an engineer at General Motors for 37 years from the year 1963 until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing chess, fishing, remodeling jobs around the house, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was a simple and easygoing man and those who were fortunate enough to know and love him are left to cherish the memory of his quick wit and his great sense of humor.
A funeral service will be held for Roger on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 12:00 PM inside the chapel at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 4444 W Grand River Ave., Lansing, MI 48906, with Pastor Stephen Pribble officiating. There will be a visitation one-hour prior starting at 11:00 AM. Roger will be laid to rest in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service. Serving as pall bearers are Shaun Thronson, Kristopher Hammond, Paul Rashid, David Stambaugh, Joshua Stambaugh, Shaun Thronson Jr., and Silvio Veloz.
