Rita T. Secor

Lansing

Age 85, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to be with her Lord on May 20, 2013. Born January 4, 1928 in Portland, MI. Rita moved to Lansing and met her future husband William in 1946. She loved caring for her grandchildren, and was an avid gardener, reader, and M.S.U. fan. She enjoyed her many pet dogs thru the years. She was a member of St. Therese Parish and a former member of the Shower of Roses Society.

Surviving are her sons, Gary (Elizabeth) Secor, Brian (Pattie) Secor, and William (Jacqueline) Secor, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Kris Secor; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Marcella Sanders, Joan (Arthur) Robinson, Richard Leik, Rosemary Fouts, Francis (Pat) Leik, Larry (Rosemary) Leik, Alecia Rademacher, and Judy (Tony) Feneis; sister-in-law, Corrine Secor; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Sr. and her son, Steven; and her parents, Henry & Dorothy Leik.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Thursday with a 7:00 P.M. Vigil in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing. Funeral Liturgy is 12:00 Noon Friday, May 24, at St. Therese Church, 102 N. Randolph, Lansing with Msgr. Bernard Reilly presiding. Viewing will be from 11:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Friday at church. Rite of committal Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
