Phyllis Gertrude Ives

Born March 29, 1919 in Toronto, Canada, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anne Marie (Coyle) Jenkins, passed away November 21, 2012 at the age of 93. She retired from the State of Michigan, DNR after many years of service. She was married to the late Eric William Ives, the son of the late Enza and Edna VanBurger Ives of DeWitt, for 59 years. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters and five brothers; grandchildren, Eric Rau, Anne Marie Rau, and Darren Patrick Ives. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, M. Gaye Ives Rau, Joyce Archer, Michael W. Ives, Patricia E. (Jack) Gehrholz; fifteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Church of the Resurrection, 1531 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing 48912. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. For those desiring, donations may be made in memory of Phyllis to the Church of the Resurrection.
