Phillip Louis Sidoti, age 95, passed into eternal life on January 30, 2024. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on December 13, 1928, the son of Rosario and Nina Sidoti. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1947 and Lansing Business University in 1957.
He served in the Army in Korea in 1951 and retired from Oldsmobile after 30 years of employment. In 1977 Kathleen Rose Ryan became his wife for 46 years of a blessed marriage. Phillip and his wife were long-time parishioners of the Church of the Resurrection and were devoted to their Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Grace; brother, Frank; brothers-in-law, Bill Reid and Bud Brokaw; sister-in-law, Agnes Sidoti. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sister, Phyllis Brokaw; brother-in-law, Bill Ryan; many loving nieces and nephews; special grandson, Christopher. Even though Phil and Kathy had no children of their own, Phil leaves his many nieces and nephews with fond memories of a patient, loving Uncle Phil.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Church of the Resurrection, with a luncheon to immediately follow. The Rite of Committal will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan or the Seminarians of Church of the Resurrection Parish. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mandy, his devoted, caring hospice nurse.
