Nora May Jodway

Nora May Jodway (Arrington) was born on February 9th, 1929 to Gladys and Donald Arrington in Celina, Ohio and grew up in Dewitt, Michigan. The oldest daughter in her family, she helped to raise her brothers Richard and Donald, and sisters Donna and baby Edie. Nora married the love of her life Clarence Jodway on May 22nd, 1948. In Laingsburg they began their own family of 5 boys- Michael, Joseph, Douglas, Steven, Bradley and 2 girls- Noreen and Anita. Nora's 7 children would bless her with dozens of grand children, great grand children and even a great great grand baby. They spent 35 years together before her husband Clarence passed away in 1983. Their love extended to many members "adopted" into the family, and throughout all branches of the family tree as a much loved Aunt to all of her siblings families as well. Always a book within reach, Nora loved reading her "stories" in quiet moments. Gazing at a beautiful sunset or lake always brought her so much joy, pink skies reminded her of a "stairway to heaven". But nothing was as delightful to her as time spent snuggling each new addition to her family, Nora devoted her life to loving and nurturing. She will be missed each and every day, and in countless moments.
