Michael Andrew Parsley, age 60, died on November 21, 2017. He was born February 20, 1957, in Manheim, Germany. While serving his country William D. and Ruth (Galbraith) Parsley adopted Michael, and brought him to East Lansing, Michigan. Mr. Parsley attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School throughout his childhood; he then graduated from East Lansing High School. He participated in baseball and was an All-State downhill skier and proud member of the “Moonshiners” class of ‘75. He attended Northern Michigan University. After attending college for 2 years he moved back to Lansing where he met the mother of his children Beverly A. Platte-Parsley, who he was married to for 24 years. He worked for General Motors for several years before his career took off in Real Estate. Michael Parsley will be remembered as one of the most respected and successful real estate brokers in the greater Lansing area. He was a member of the Greater Lansing Association of Realtors since 1987 and a member of President Million Dollar Club. Associate Broker with Coldwell Banker Hubbell Briarwood

Mike enjoyed working, helping others, fishing, golfing, skiing, and being in the outdoors. He spent most of his free time being up north on Lake Charlevoix at his cottage. Mike was a well-known devoted Michigan State Spartans fan as well.

He was preceded in death by William D. and Ruth Virginia; parents; nephew Anthony R. Parsley, and Marvin J. Platte. Surviving are his 2 children, Kaitlyn ‘Katie’ Rose Parsley and William ‘Billy’ Michael Parsley, sisters Ann Elizabeth Parsley and Mary Kay Dunckel, a nephew Duncan Titus, Beverly Platte-Parsley, Jennifer Creamer and her children Carley Bryers and Kaleb Creamer-Schenck, the Platte family, and many loving friends and colleagues.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd., East Lansing, MI 48823.The family will receive friends Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 900 East Michigan Ave., Lansing, Michigan 48912.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to William and Kaitlyn Parsley.
