Michael Thomas “Tom” Joseph, age 81, of Lansing, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2020. Tom was a lifelong Lansing resident and graduated from Lansing Eastern High School. He later went on to earn an Associate of Arts Degree from Lansing Community College.
Tom worked for many years for the Motor Wheel Corporation before starting his own business, TJ’s Insignia Shop, which he owned and operated until his retirement. After a brief retirement period, he started working part-time at the Foxhole PX store where he remained for nearly 25 years.
Tom was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Shortly after his honorable discharge, he joined the Civil Air Patrol where he was an active member for 26 years. In his spare time, he loved building and painting model airplanes and boats.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra, their son Mark (Sue), their daughter Karen (Kwame) Johnson, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sister, Jean.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachelle, parents, Michael and Lila, sisters, Barbara and Delores, and brother, Charles.
