Mary Lou Kane

Mary Lou Kane was born July 22, 1939 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Paul and Genevieve Suter. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1957. She was active in the band and enjoyed cheerleading. She moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1968 with her children, Kim and Kevin. Mary Lou and H. Dallas Kane were married January 30, 1971.

Upon moving to Lansing, she worked for MSU Federal Credit Union. After she married the love of her life, Dallas, she was a stay at home mother. Later, she worked for the Lansing School District, Living Word Outreach Church and until her death, Rivers of Life Church. She faithfully cared for her mother, Genevieve, until her death at 102 years old.

Mary Lou went home to be with her Lord, as promised, on Monday, November 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents. Celebrating her life are: daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Mark Sager; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Robin Johns; brother and sister-in-law, John Suter and Patricia Kacerguis; grandchildren Joe Sager, Ben and Katie Johns; and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Mary Lou loved her family, her church, and her Pastors Jesse and Brigitte Brown, as well as God-son Micah. She enjoyed spending time at her trailer at Sandy Pines Campground in Hopkins, MI. She loved to shop and give gifts. Her greatest gift was her love for others. It’s impossible to mention all of those touched by her love. She was a great wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and faithful friend. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Rivers of Life Church, family and friends until her death.

Mary Lou would want you to know, no matter how much of her love you received, there is Another who has infinitely more and greater love for you to experience.
