LeRoy Chain

On October 20, 2015 LeRoy Chain of Holt, Michigan passed away peacefully in the company of his loved ones after a long three year battle with cancer. He now finds comfort and peace in the hand of our Lord. He touched so many lives and will live forever in our hearts. LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Iva (Cussans) Chain and brothers James Chain and Louis Gaworski. He is survived by his wife Lois Chain; sons Frank (Veronica), John (Wendy), and David Chain; grandchildren Carter, Eva, Jamie (Eric Knott), Angie (Carrie Banks), John Jr. (April), and Charles (Christina) Chain; great-grandchildren John III, Amelia, Bryant, Jayen, Eli, Corbin, Ashlan, Kentleigh, Peyton and Bentsent. LeRoy will always be remembered as a person who loved MSU and was a dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1039. He was a very creative person always building and creating projects with his extensive collection of tools. He retired from General Motors and took up his favorite hobbies fulltime of bowling, golfing and being the best Grandfather ever. Throughout his life he served in the Army, National Guard. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Moose. He had dedicated 40+ years as a member of the FOE and had received various honors and held the position of Past Worthy President, FOE State Hall of Fame and State Father of the year. There will be a memorial service on Monday October 26, 2015 at 6:00 pm at Fraternal Order of Eagles #1039, 4700 N. Grand River, Lansing with visitation one hour prior to service.
