John Arden Hallenbeck of Grand Ledge, MI passed away November 23, 2020 at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer. John was born on October 22, 1955 in Lansing, Michigan. John was a kind and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He enjoyed retirement from GM after 30 years as an experimental engineer. After retirement, he worked at CATA, could be found in the kitchen whipping up a yummy meal, fishing in the Gulf, spending time with family or puttering in his pole barn.
John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karen Hallenbeck; mother Nora (Lambert) Hallenbeck; his daughters Tiffeny (Fred) Schrank, Rachelle (Kasey) Zuk; son John (Jocelyn) Hallenbeck; sisters, Patricia (William) Young, Georgia (Roger) Griffin, Amy Hallenbeck, Karen (Tim) Tenke, Kathy (Todd) Williams; brothers, Jay (Nancy) Hallenbeck and Michael (Renee) Hallenbeck; grandchildren, Trevor, Conner, Brayden, Lola, Kason, Shiloh and Arden. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his father George Arden Hallenbeck.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
