George Roderique "Rod" Pearson.
Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, went to be with those who have gone before him on March 12, 2022.
Rod was born on May 9, 1930. He graduated from Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan. He was the beloved husband of Yvonee "Bonnie" (Benjamin), who predeceased him on July 10, 2010. She told him she would she would be on the other side of the moon waiting for him, now they are together. Rod was predeceased by his parents George C. Pearson and Shirley (Spears) Pearson.
Rod was a proud Army veteran, whos service was during the Korean Conflict. He was also a proud Union Member, retiring from the Iron Workers after 30 years.
He leaves behind a son Randy (Sara) Pearson, daughter Jill (Jeff) Ferris, stepdaughters Debra Perkins, and Cathy Wollpert, and grandchildren Jake (Emily) Pearson, Brooke (Hugh) Lavery, Brandy Sykes, Cherie Clark, Heidi Skaff, Emily Ferris, Graham (Megan) Ferris, Patrick Carr, Adam (Amanda) Carr, Lacy Scafer, Ryan Wolfert, and Brianne Archer. Rod also leaves behind 17 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, many cherished friends, and neighbors.
Rod had a long, colorful, and well lived life.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Rod will be held on March 21, 2022 at Tiffany Funeral Home at 3232 W. Saginaw Street, Lansing, MI 48917 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm then 6:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be on March 22, 2022 at 11:00am followed by burial at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, 4108 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917.
