Donald was a devoted husband to his wife, Marvina Bloomfield. The two got married on April 29, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada and had 30 wonderful years together.
In his career, Don dedicated 46 years to Sears before retiring, and then went on to work at Pearsons for 6 years, grading state educational tests. He held a Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin University and also attended Ohio State University for two years. Don was also a long time member of the Kiwanis, formerly Holt and most currently Kiwanis Delta Township.
Don was known for his gentle caring nature, although he could be a bit stubborn at times. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Marvina Bloomfield.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anne Bloomfield, as well as his brothers John Bloomfield and Larry Bloomfield.
When Don wasn't working, you could find him at his office, Frank's Press Box playing Keno and enjoying a Bud Lite. Beau Rivage Casino and Resort was one of his favorite destinations.
Marvina would like to extend a special thank you to the Delta Township Fire Department and EMS, as well as Bill, Mary, and Michelle from Sparrow Hospice. Don's friends at Reno's and Frank's Press Box will always hold special memories. A debt of gratitude to Dr. Brendan Coutu, Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center, for the extra year we got to enjoy with Don as a result of the radiation treatments.
Donald leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and kindness that will be cherished by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
