Diane was born in St. Johns, Michigan, on January 24, 1945. She graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in St. Johns, Michigan and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1965 and later a Certified Social Worker, earning her Master’s Degree from Michigan State University in 1976. Diane loved her career and lived her life helping other people. Diane was a tireless advocate of mothers and children. She retired from the Ingham County Health Department’s Family Planning and Prenatal Clinic in 2003. She worked as a Medical Social Worker, in addition to working as a Private Practice Psychotherapist for over 27 years.
She was also a member of the National Association of Social Workers, The American Association of Sex Educators Counselors & Therapists, The International Transactional Analysis Association, The Lansing Association for Shared Childbirth and LaLeche League International.
Diane was a cherished mother, family member and friend. She is survived by her loving children: son Philip H Daher (Kyoko Ibaragi Daher), daughter Julianne Daher (Corey Lounds) and daughter M. Petra Daher; brother Dennis Bauer (Norma Bauer), brother Dale Bauer (Sandy Bauer), sister Dolores Phinney, sister Dorene Bauer, sister, Debbie Rappuhn (Cary Rappuhn), brother Dane Bauer (Jeri Bauer) and several nieces and nephews.
Diane will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She loved her family, music, dancing, travel and nature. She was happiest when she was helping others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Bauer, her Mother, Leona Weber Bauer and her husband Jack Ray Sebolt.
