Dasha L. McCuin, 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2016. She was born June 27, 1950 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to John and Earline (Wells) Taylor. Dasha was a graduate of Lansing Community College where she obtained a degree in Law Enforcement. Dasha was employed with the Ionia County Correctional Facility for 7 years.
In March of 1980 Dasha accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and received a water baptism at Bethlehem Temple Church. In July of that same year she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. She loved the Lord and was led to answer His call to Evangelism shortly after.
As a family oriented person, she enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends. In her spare time you would most likely catch her writing poems or completing crossword puzzles.
Dasha will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Michelle (Jon) Mostrom; brothers James Jackson, Minister Robert (Flora) Taylor, Nelse and Robert L Taylor; sisters Evangelist Charlene Roper, Johnnie Mae and Carol Taylor; sister in law Deloris Taylor; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends; and grandcats Bubby, Baby, and Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Earline Taylor; brothers John, Halbert, Joe Ray, and Timothy Taylor; and sisters Joyce Jones, Ruby Pugh and Sandra Gentry.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
