Carl Allen Van Buren, born August 30, 1951 to Hollis and Ruth (Stowell) Van Buren, passed away February 4, 2015 at the age of 63. Carl will be remembered as everyone’s right-hand person. He always did everything he could for others. He was a volunteer at the Baker Donora Community Center in Lansing and he will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Van Buren, Thomas Van Buren, and Harris Van Buren; and sister, Susan Shinaver. Surviving to cherish his memory are his brothers, Wilson (Pat) Van Buren of Clawson, Robert (Sissy) Van Buren of Lansing and Marshall "Mark" Van Buren of Lansing; sisters, Marsha Van Buren of Lansing, Pat (Robert Perez) Morris of Lansing and Jane (Poncho) Jones of Lansing; many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces.

Funeral services will take place Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
