Bontiea Vedna Shaw

Bontiea Vedna (Warner) Shaw of Lansing passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on June 29, 2017. The daughter of the late William and Alice (Lattimer) Warner, Bontiea was the youngest of seven children.

She was a devoted to her family loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Bontiea retired from MSU, enjoyed traveling, baking, crocheting, and what she called jucken.

Bontiea is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Donald W. Shaw. She leaves behind four children; Wesley (Linda) Shaw of Mason, Donalene (Herbert) Howell of Holt, Glenda Lee Fisher of Lansing, Karen (Steven) Kinsey of DeWitt; grandchildren, Jeremy (Penny) Shaw, Jason (Fiancée Jolie) Shaw, Shawn (David) Daman, Sheila Howell, Andrew (Tara) Howell, Stacey Carter, Joshlynn Fisher, Leslie (Alex) Perez, Steven Kinsey; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017 with visitation one hour prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing Michigan.
