It is with great sadness that the family of Joanne announces her passing in Langley, BC. She was born in Utrecht the Netherlands. She immigrated from Holland in 1952 with her parents and 16 siblings. Joanne married Leonardus Warmerdam on April 2, 1956. They started Holland Nursery on Fraser Highway in Surrey, BC and enjoyed the successful business for 30 years before they retired. She was the heart and soul of the nursery and was the hardest working woman you've ever met. Jopie (her nickname) is survived by her husband Leonardus Warmerdam, son Peter Warmerdam (Diane), John Warmerdam, Bert Warmerdam (Terra), and daughter Alice Hornby (Harry). Grandchildren Kaitlyn (Gareth) , Sarah (James), Rian, Trinity, Destiny, Justin, Jonathan (Corrie) and Alex. Great Grandchildren Owen and Logan. She is also survived by 12 of her brothers and sisters; Corrie Van Graven d'd (Jack d'd), Jetty Vojt (John d'd), Tinie Van Den Brink (Bert d'd), Lucy Warmerdam (Case), John Griffioen (Carol d'd), Dick Griffioen d'd (Yvonne d'd), Hans Griffioen (Kaaren), Betty Fecko (Mike d'd), Mieke Griffioen d'd, Anne Ruigrok (Ed), Lexy Elliott, Marianne Edgett (Barry d'd), Nol Griffioen (Sylvia), Liz Seed (John), Frans Griffioen d'd (Elise), Joe Griffioen (Vicky)

We would like to thank the hard working, caring staff at The Residence of Clayton Heights for making her last 15 months of life restful and peaceful.
Saturday, January 13th - The prayers and viewing will be held at 10:00 am, funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Parish 16079 88 Ave. Surrey, BC. Light refreshments will be served afterward.
Her body will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery 15800-32nd Avenue Surrey, BC V3S 9V1.
