It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Louis Lang, of Langley, British Columbia, on April 11, 2022 at the age of 84.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife, June of 63 years; Children; Mark (Karen), Todd, Lisa (Terry), Tracey (Curtis); Grandchildren: Brent, Alexina, Nathan (Sarah), Paul (Cristina), Valerie, Tomas (Hannah), Brandee (Chad); Great Grandchildren: Oliver, Jasmyn; and numerous friends and family throughout British Columbia and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Don was predeceased by his loving parents Louis and Alexina Lang; brothers William and Norman (Mary); as well as his birth mother Nellie Dykin (nee Stasiuk) and half sister Eleanor.
Don was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he met the love of his life, June. Together they moved to British Columbia and started a new life together with their 4 children.
Don was primarily in the car industry most of his career and was lovingly known as “the car guy”. He was the Jack of all trades and could just as easily rebuild a car from its engine to body work, re-plumb the kitchen sink, wire any type of electrical, do any type of carpentry or welding as he could cooking up an amazing feast. His famous roast beef and lasagna was loved by 1000’s of guests.
A Celebration of Life is being planned by the family on the farm in Langley, British Columbia on Saturday, June 18, 2022 and more details will be communicated. Please join us as we Celebrate the Life and Love of our Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and friend.
The family would also like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Chartwell, Langley Gardens. We are so grateful for the care and compassion that you showed to our Dad and our family.
