Dannel Nilsson

The siblings of Dannel Nilsson sadly announce the passing of our oldest sister Dannel.

Dannel was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba and grew up in the Lac du Bonnet area. In her adult

years she worked for a short time for the Forestry in Pointe du Bois, Manitoba. She then moved

to Winnipeg where she worked in the Cafeteria at the Health Sciences Centre After the passing

of her mother in 1979, she moved back home to help care for her younger siblings. She later

moved to Alberta where she worked as a camp cook and eventually to Vancouver, BC where

she lived out her remaining 32 years.

Dannel loved music and enjoyed playing her guitar and singing. She was never married and

never had any children, just her beloved dog Gucci who she had for 13 years. Dannel had a

kind and loving heart and was a very loyal friend if you were lucky enough to have her as one.

She is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Lucille Nilsson, one brother, Garry and of course

her beloved dog, Gucci. She leaves behind her brothers, Allen and Darryl of Winnipeg,

Manitoba, and sisters, Wanda of Calgary, Alberta, and Loretta of Richer, Manitoba. Also aunts

and uncles and many cousins and other extended family members. She will be missed and

remembered by all who knew and loved her.

There will be a celebration of her life in Manitoba at a later date, where she will be laid to rest.
